​Shore Mental Health does offer to communicate information through emails, cell phone calls, text messages and fax. This includes information such as appointment reminders and information, medication refill information and request for information or answers to patient questions. 

• Please be aware that computers, e-mail, cell phone and fax communication can be relatively easy to access by unauthorized people and, hence, can compromise the privacy and confidentiality of such communication. 

• Please be aware that email is not a confidential means of communication unless both parties are communicating through secure avenues. Shore Mental Health sends and receives emails through a HIPAA compliant email account that has encryption technology. This technology facilitates secure electronic communication. It is recommended that no information regarding your personal health history be communicated using electronic means without this or similar technology. Communicating with standard email is not secure. Please take this into consideration when sharing your personal health information.

• Please notify the practice manager if you decide to avoid or limit, in any way, the use of any or all communication devices, such as e-mail, cell phone or fax. 

• Please do not use e-mail or faxes for emergencies

• Message and data rates may apply, you can opt out of messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for additional information.
